On June 2, 1969, at the age of 2, an exceptional person lost his life. He never had an unkind word for anyone, an yet remained so distant and grand. He grew into a striking figure among our public and sports. It brought an end to a young man's life and sports career, leaving behind all his success and records along with immeasurable sorrow.
He played a thousand official games for clubs in Yugoslavia, Belgium and Italy, and it has been estimated that he made more than thirty-five thousand baskets.He played most of his games - five hundred - for OKK Belgrade with an average if thirty baskets per game. He played on the Yugoslav national team 157 times and made 3,153 baskets. He played for the European all-stars against USA twice.When bestowing recognition on individuals in team sports, there is always a risk of error since the merit lines are quite interwoven. But in this case there is no such risk: Radivoj Korac was unsurpassable leader of OKK Belgrade both for his contributions to the club's success and popularity, but also for his personal fame that crossed all borders and became world-renowned.
